Is there a better time than Aperitvo time? We think not. It’s the highlight of the day & the pinnacle of the afternoon, so makes sense it should be treated with respect, yeah? And if anyone knows how to give aperitvo the attention it deserves then it’s those savvy Italians.
Il Palazzo in Venice is the latest creation from the masters of chic cocktail havens, Experimental Cocktail Club, so the credentials are already more solid than the watery streets of the city it sits in. Interior-wise, it’s dope - think deep rose walls for catching those last fiery rays of Venetian sunset, Art Deco finishes + a bar of lacquered wood for perching when you want a Negroni or three.
You can find the bar in the Il Palazzo Experimental hotel, enough of a hop skip and gondola ride from St Mark’s square to not be overrun with tourists. In fact, you can bet your bottom Euro that it’s gonna be a hit with visitors and locals alike. Look out for the quirky details like cufflink-esque tables and pearl-earring lighting that give it that cheeky wink ECC is known for. Aperitvo literally means ‘to open the stomach’ and sharpen your appetite before dinner. You better believe that the idea of an Experience 1 (Fair vodka, elderflower, lemon, lemongrass and basil) at this bar is making our mouth’s water.
