Stockholm, Sweden. Originally I am from a small town called Växjö down south in Sweden, but Stockholm is my base and home now.
At the greatest place on earth, Little Quarter at Marie Laveau.
In the world I'd say Milk & Honey and Dutch Kills in NYC, Callooh Callay and Casita in London, the Barking Dog and Salon 39 in Copenhagen, and last but not least la Capilla in Tequila, México.
Old-Fashioned (boring bartender answer) and most stirred stuff my bar manager Micke Karlsson makes up with tequila, some brown spirit, some kind of sugar and bitters.
Hardets question. I really wanna drop something hard core and crazy but I'm either lacking of memory, or lived quite boringly behind the bar.... When I got to make Batangas with Don Javier at la Capilla in Tequila town was pretty bad ass for me though. When we won Best Bar in Sweden for the second year running last Sunday at the Bartenders' Chioce Awards was definitely the happiest one. Or when I told my collegue's girlfriend that he had shown nude pictures of her (which was a great lie) was the one that made me laugh the most. I'd never met the girl before.
I've done some pretty messed up stuff in bars but not that. At least not ON the bar top. But we all have been kids right?
Helping the tequila industry to take over the world and to put Little Quarter on the international bar scene once and for all! We belong!
Basically every chat up line that starts off with a way too drunk man or woman who doesn't realize that they are just that, and that their target of the night is dead sober and not in the mood for "quarter-to-closing-time-love-making". That and my extreme amusement over the old trick of standing in the bar and just staring and smiling occasionally, whilst getting more and more drunk...
It depends on what category you're after, but one is that I can count to ten in Serbian (thanks Danina). Another really dark secret is that I let my son go to sleep in my bed just so it will be warmer when it's time for me to sleep. Then I move him to his which by then ain't as warm and cosy as mine. Use the children... Barwise I would say that my two guilty pleasures are: 1. I just love the flavor of Pinacle Whipped Cream Vodka (for real its freaking brilliant!) and 2. I think the taste of Mintu shots feels refreshing at 3.30 in the morning. This is really gone come back and bite me...
It would most def be the Little Angelf**k from last months menu at Little Quarter. 40 ml Absolut 100 proof, 10 ml DOM, 1 dash Angostura Orange Bitters and Champagne. Crispy, boozy and makes you drunk. A vodka cocktail that actually tastes of vodka.
Rather wet I'd guess. Something like 50ml gin, 20ml Noilly and a small dash Orange bitters. Served with a twist, no olives (that's food).
Nothing really. I just wanted to have fun. Then I realised that you need money to survive and look at me now! I have more fun than most AND making money. Mum, I did it!!
