Bartenders
THE NORTH! Being more specific, just outside York, England
I was in the clouds at Babylon Bar at The Roof Gardens in Kensington and previously worked at Baroosh in Cambridge. But now I'm at No 46 Café, Bar of Malton.
I love rum and gin, so it has to be Star at Night for 1 or 3 of the 60 odd gins, or Cottons Rhum Shack, sampling many (many!) rums.
Sticking with the classics, you can't beat a daiquiri! If I had to pick one of its many alter egos, it would have to be the great man’s creation, the Hemingway!
Quite literally rock and roll moment...shaking a cocktail with Liam Gallagher (purely because he wanted something to do!). Either that or serving Richard Branson straight out of his helicopter just after he landed it!
Despite working with my fiancée bartender for 5 years, sadly no.
Who knows...maybe working in the African bush in the new site from Virgin Limited Edition, I wouldn't mind a zebra for a bar back!
The worst came from a colleague who took a sip of a drink (he had just made) and said to the poor women "you almost look as good as this drink!" The best? Well I'm still waiting to see one that doesn't resemble a block of cheddar!
Competed for Great Britain in her first Ketel 1 League in Amsterdam with my Virgin inspired "Screw Cosmo's as usual!", and won the comp with 10 other London based bartenders!
My favourite technique is using molecular foams, and I know how much BarChick love a good classic, so I would combine the two, and get you a Dark 'n' Foamy. A classic daiquiri with a few dashes of angostura bitters, topped with a delicious Kraken spiced rum and ginger beer foam! Enjoy!
Gin (Sipsmiths, specifically!) slightly wet and with a twist, now I'm thirsty!
What didn't I want to be! I went through stages of being an astronaut, fireman, but I think I would have to say teacher, I had my own chalkboard and everything!
