Sometimes all you want in your life is some rum, especially in Barbados where it is everywhere and so DAMN good.  At The John Moore Rum Shack that is pretty much all you can get, but no one’s complaining. This rum shop is as authentic as it gets, with cracked paint, wonky shutters and out of place planks.

Head inside, grab a quarter bottle or a half depending on what time of day it is (whose judgin’), grab a couple of cokes from the fridge, or don’t, we all know rum is good straight up. Head outside, commandeer a crate to sit on, get comfy on the sand and enjoy sippin’ on the beach, or take a stool inside and get friendly with the local boozers.

A quarter bottle of rum and two cokes comes in at 21 dollars, the equivalent of only 7 quid which makes it all that little bit tastier. This is a seriously local bar but it’s a MUST for any visitor.
