The newest club to hit the Beirut scene, Uberhaus is underground in every sense of the word. As the name suggests, the music is uber house, fitting in with the psychedelic flashing lights. Meanwhile, a complete lack of bar stools and very few tables maximise the space for those looking to boogie the night away. While chic rooftop bars and commercial music tends to dominate the Beirut club life, Uberhaus is here to fill the city with something different, reflecting the city's burgeoning music scene as house and electronic become more and more popular. Surprisingly based in one of the city's more conservative areas, it is housed in what was once the Wienner Keller, one of Beirut's first ever clubs, with its German name paying homage to its past. Open until late, you might not remember too much about being there, but you will know that you had a good time.
