Secret bars are de rigueur in the most happening cities, but secret clubs are another league altogether. Going one step further than the speakeasy vibe, the ominous iron door under the train tracks of the S-Bahn at Friedrichstrasse might say ‘closed’, but trust Bar Chick, we know better. Nod knowingly at the doorman, don’t be fooled when he tells you it’s not open - you can slink right through into the lounge.

Inside it's dark, sleek, and has an exclusive feel - the upmarket atmosphere makes a change from Berlin’s many dive bars. The tunnel-shaped room and huge flashlights will make you feel like you’re on the set of a film. Plus it shrouds the room with mysterious silhouettes of the crowd, groovy. 

This is where the fashionable crowd hide out so dress to impress. Despite the slick surroundings and the moody lighting, it’s an easygoing crowd (it is Berlin, after all) and you can get down to everything from hip hop, funk and electronica until the wee hours.
