Comptoir de la Bourse

BARCHICK SAYS

Located in the 2nd arrondissement (one of Lyon’s main shopping and restaurant zones) Comptoir de la Bourse is perfect if you’re tired of shopping and sightseeing and just want a drink, dammit!

Inside, the décor is a tad on the blingy side with chandeliers and chairs that look like thrones. If you don’t fancy all that glitter then stick to the terrace, it’s impressively large and perfect for cracking open a bottle of wine.

An extensive drinks list includes a large range of cocktails, French wine by the region and a good choice of spirits plus a prestige section featuring a bottle of Cote Rotie la Turque at €970. We drank the Aku Aku (Mount Gay Rum, peach liqueur, lime, pineapple, mint and sugar) from the tiki section of the cocktail list and never looked back. Small plates like tarama brut and toasts are available from €10.50 and the soundtrack is a mix of pop, R&B and chill out…Café del Mar style, baby.
