Chom Chom

BARCHICK SAYS

Chom Chom is a buzzy Vietnamese street food joint in the heart of Soho. A casual neighbourhood hangout, have a few beers while snacking away on some top quality Vietnamese from much-loved HK chef Peter Cuong. This is where to get stuck into some new flavours, be brave.

There’s a lot more to be had than your classic pho, which doesn’t even feature here, apart from in cocktail form with the signature Pho-Jito: Pampero Blanco, lemongrass syrup, lime juice, mint, Thai basil, pepper and soda. We also got stuck into their other signature, The Saigon Sour, a tasty combo of Beam Black, pineapple juice, lime juice, agave nectar syrup and egg white.

The large windows are always open and the few small tables outside create a great al fresco atmosphere as people gather on the street below to drink and chat. Go early or late as the crowds come thick and fast.
