BarChick’s all about creative wordplay. For example, did you know that the Japanese have a term for when sunlight filters through trees? It’s known as Komorebi and we’re obsessed. Especially since The Woods have translated this into physical form with their cocktail experience. Now that’s a thing of beauty.

Komorebi is the interplay between leaves and light. The Woods bring a careful interplay between spirits and the seasonal fruits and vegetables that they’re mixed with. We’re talking fresh as f*ck ingredients, bought at their peak. Sounds like our kinda menu. If the bar team have a flash of inspiration at the market that morning, you can bet your Boston shaker that it’ll be appearing in a cocktail later in the day.

That’s not all that’s going on here. The Woods Annex is a ‘Spirits library and tasting room’. This intimate spot seats up to 8 people, so grab your crew and prepare to geek out with guided workshops and new expressions of spirits. Then there’s The Prix-Fixe Bar, where cocktails are ‘elevated to a culinary art form’. Four courses of cocktails? Just try and stop us going into The Woods.
