The word Ashram describes the house in which a Guru lives, teaching those seeking spiritual advice and healing. In this case the Guru is owner Manel Aragones, his advice is along the lines of free love and acid consumption, and the healing is a blend of the latter plus sensational sunsets.
Perched precariously on the cliff edge at Cala Conte, Sunset Ashram is unapologetically unpolished, it’s the antithesis of bright white sun loungers and minimum spend table reservations. Manel speaks of an atmosphere harmonious with nature, an organic approach to partying in Ibiza, nostalgic of the good old days.
Don’t rush here just to catch the sunset, set off early and make a day of it. Cala Conte is beautiful, you’ll see a few bare bottoms but that’s all part of the fun. There are secret beaches to swim to in every cove, don’t swim too pissed though, you wouldn’t want to find yourself marooned. Finally you can return to the bar to watch the sunset. Wicked music, wicked vibe, wicked wisdom.
