BARCHICK SAYS

Enter into a rustic restaurant of long wooden sharing tables, exposed brickwork, hanging bulbs and a chilled and welcoming atmosphere.  It's a real labour of love and it shows - you'll often find all of the dudes behind it working the bar, waiting tables or manning the kitchen – and BarChick digs that kind of dedication. Let them talk you through the menu. They did a lot of 'research' trips (aka p*ss ups) to Paris and London and the proof is in the pudding… or the falafel, which is pretty bloody good here. It's the perfect place to swing by for a quick lunch, or alternatively long out a supper in the evening and work your way through the tapas style sharing plates – they can cater to vegans, veggies and meat eaters alike... lamb kofta, grilled halloumi and of course the falafel are the stars of the show.

BarChick took a pew at the bar and worked her way through the food and the cocktail menu at a leisurely pace. The St Germain Whip with gin, St Germain, elderflower, cucumber puree, lime and whites perked her up no end, and her date got stuck into a manly Blanton's Old Fashioned.
