The new hidden Kensington speakeasy you're gonna want to find

We dipped below the streets of Kensington to check out this sexy new hidden speakeasy, and found out it's too good to keep secret.

Planning an illicit date night? Look for the staircase to the side of the Old Brompton Road Cheese & Wine Bar and let the light of the sassy neon sign lead you down into the basement filled with plenty of dark corners. This is where the roaring twenties of the last century meet the twenties of this. Think sexy low lighting, deep vintage armchairs, cosy interconnected rooms (you'll wanna find the one with the blackjack table) and absolutely zero phone signal. When you wanna go off-grid, this is where to hide out.

Find the list of prohibition inspired serves between the pages of old dusty cookery books next to recipes for syrupy steamed puddings and trifles (where else?); the Pre-Prohibition signature Nocturne 1900’s is a classy and floral blend of Japanese dry gin, Sake Dry, Earl Grey liqueur, lavender syrup, grapefruit juice, plum & sage bitter served in a pretty cut-glass coupe, while those with a sense of adventure might wanna succumb to the creativity of Head Bartender Luca Gilmozzi who has made The Exeter 1880's with cognac infused with parmesan for a savoury nod (ask him if you can try a sip of it on its own for a real mind-blower) before being sweetened with beer syrup, Dry Vermouth, apple juice, Angostura Blend. We'll see ya down there.
