Putting the "bar" in "barge"

Brothers Fin and Lorcan Spiteri are the duo behind Caravel, the acclaimed restaurant on a Regent's Canal barge that's become known for its intimate date-night vibes. Now they're bringing their magic touch to the world of bars, opening a drinking den on a boat next to their restaurant. 

Bruno's - named after Fin's pup, FYI - takes the form of a long lounge with velvet armchairs, marble tables and a bar near the boat's portholes, so you can sit and stare wistfully out at the sea. Expect the same kind of warm, romantic atmosphere that makes Caravel perfect for a little wooing. 

The cocktail list has been created by Fin, himself a veteran of some of London's top bars (his CV includes 69 Colebrooke Row and Soho stalwart Quo Vadis). Drinks riff on the classics, with sips like the Peach Drop (vodka, lemon juice, peach syrup, egg whites and burnt sugar) and the Cookout (mezcal, barbecued lemon juice and orgeat), alongside a list of natural wines. When it comes to bar snacks, Bruno's serves up charcuterie on nostalgic stainless steel lunch trays - but if you're really hungry, get yourself a booking next door at Caravel for an all-out meal.
