Mama Fuego

BARCHICK SAYS

Where else can you start your day with charcoal waffles with dulce de leche, keep it fueled with epic Aussie coffee through the afternoon and cap it off with yuzu oysters and a slammin cocktail menu in the evening? Turns out only in Greenwich.   Mama Fuego is a mash-up of Aussie and South American cultures. It's got the soul of a super chill Australian cafe in the skin of a vibrant Latin restaurant.

They really hit you with a choice of where to get indulgent, with a formal restaurant, a milk-bar cafe and a full-service open plan bakery (just try and resist the smell of their freshly baked pastries, we dare ya). Then there are the exclusive drinking dens including a gin distillery in The Triangle Room and the 70's-style Sunken Lounge Bar which looks like it's been taken straight out of an old school Bond film. Both serve a menu of bangers. Aussies, feel right at home with the Lamington cocktail which riffs on the classic flavours of it's cakey namesake, or if you wanna get in on some Latin vibes, hit up the Blood Orange Pisco Sour for a sharp taste of Peru.
