Happiness Forgets opened in Hoxton Square back in 2012 and it was the bar that really put East London on the global cocktail map, and rightly so (Nightjar, you too). A few years later and cocktail legends Ali Burgess and Andy Bird opened their next offering - more killer cocktails, slick vibes, and this time, an awesome all-female bar team!

Everything at Original Sin is bigger and some might say better. For starters the place can hold far more people (around 90). Either take a seat at the sleek 10 metre long bar made of old whisky vats, or in one of the cosy booths along the other side. Plus they’ve got a sexy pool table at the end which is free to play, game on!

The cocktails are awesome, unsurprisingly. When BarChick rolled up we nailed the Sea City made with mezcal, cachaça, lemon, agave, salt, mint and soda – light and refreshing and perfectly balanced. If you’ve stayed longer than planned (you will), then swing by Stokey Bears upstairs for one of their legendary burgers to soak up the booze.
