Camden has loads of secrets up its sleeve and one we managed to stumble across recently was Our Black Heart (clock the hanging black heart outside). This local’s rock bar is full of gothic and eccentric detail such as “black heart” written out in funeral flowers pinned to the wall and a shrine to Jesus Christ in one corner… told ya!

The beer selection here is on point, they’ve got a serious collection for you to work through, with various options from around the world… they even have Hobo, love that sh*t. Fancy something a little sweeter? You’re in luck; BarChick got involved with their boozy slush puppies, orange and tequila or vodka and strawberry, take your pick (they took us back to our childhood, minus the boozy kick). Flavours change so just ask one of the tattooed staff what’s on offer when you head down.

Love music? Well not only do they have rocking tunes but they also have a space upstairs with various live acts each night as well as movie screenings… nice.

These guys like their food too, as do we. They've got a tiny kitchen for pop up chefs to show their thang. Having a long term residency is Smoke'n'Roll, with delicious meat plates and daily specials. It’s the dream.
