What could be better than Hackney’s hottest wine bar, Sager + Wilde? A bigger, sexier version, that’s what.
Sager + Wilde Restaurant Paradise Row is hidden in the railway arches next to Bethnal Green station and we’re talking illuminated back bar, epic food and the clincher – a freakin’ hidden away Old Fashioned bar.
Like their big sis, this place only showcases only the best wines from all over the world, including cool things like their tailor-made Syrah and even unfiltered wine. Don’t worry, it’s meant to be cloudy. The cocktails rock too, Marcis Dzelsainis’ (previously Dandelyan) menu covers all our needs; kick things off with a fresh Sake Elderflower Spritz or dive straight in with the Olive Oil Old Fashioned, it’s the stuff of legends.
The food rocks too, not that we’d expect less from Chef Seb Myers (ex Chiltern Firehouse). BarChick snacked on Scallops with XO sauce and some kinda Whitebait tempura jenga. Sharing’s caring here so it’s perfect for boozy dinner dates or just a lil’ snack to go with the vino. You’re here for the Old Fashioned Bar and you’ll find it upstairs overlooking the bar. So it’s outside for alfresco fun, hot wine-and-dinner dates and upstairs for coconut washed ice Old Fashioned soirees. Got it? Good. Sager + Wilde Paradise Row, we salute you.
