A few years back, BarChick had a Summer fling with this Williamsburg favourite, and she's been pining for it ever since. Now thatlove affair has been rekindled, as NYC neighbourhood restaurant Sunday in Brooklyn has opened its first-ever international location in our hometown.
Sunday In Brooklyn has always known how to draw a crowd, with New Yorkers from all corners of the city crossing the Brooklyn Bridge to get a taste of their legendary cartoon-style pancakes and playful cocktails. We'd have happily crossed waters again to order the iconic Havana Honeybear made with Fiji Rum, Amontillado Sherry, Apricot, Pineapple, Lime, Cumin Honey, but now they've brought their American staples over the pond to us, we can save our Airmiles and hop the tube to Notting Hill instead.
They've nabbed themselves a beautiful two-floor corner site on Westbourne Grove, with tall wrap-around windows flooding the dining room with a sh*t loada natural light, and warm, welcoming interiors that echo the service and cosy atmosphere of the New York OG. With a few UK exclusive dishes and week-long opening hours, this is the taste of NYC we've been longing for.
