It's lesser known than the award winning Connaught Bar across the lobby, but the Coburg Bar is in no way inferior. This quiet achiever is more about the comfy armchairs and fireplaces, than the shiny Martini trolleys and glitzy stylings of its sister bar.

The drinks are as sophisticated as they come, sit at the bar and let the polished barmen talk you through the offerings. BarChick loved the rum-based Old Fashioned, or come for a special occasion and drink something bubbly, the Champagne menu is huge.

If the complimentary olives and chips aren't enough for you then order some bar snacks, just make sure your date brings their AmEx, all this fabulousness doesn't come cheap.
