Now with a more relaxed dress policy, The Rivoli Bar at The Ritz is no longer there to drag in tourists or intimidate the general public, instead it’s very welcoming with an even more impressive menu than ever before. Jeans are tolerated but we say dress up, this place is too smooth to rock up at looking too casual. The Rivoli Bar at The Ritz is intimate and comfortable, with gold leaf, satinwood and Lalique glass, it feels Art Deco and dramatic… the perfect place to impress.
It’s all very slick and refined and the cocktails reflect that. We loved the Ramos Gin Fizz which is served in a gold goose egg on an edible sugar nest! Plus the Manhattans here are on the money. Each is served with a mini cocktail shaker to top up your glass and the garnish is presented on ice in a silver treasure chest. You get it, the presentation here is pretty astounding.
You get olives (the best ones) and some nuts to snack on while you enjoy your cocktails, but we say go all out and try their bar snacks… with club sandwiches, specialities, savoury hors d’oeuvres and caviar they are DAMN GOOD. The bill however might not feel so fun.
