Located conveniently centrally, this is a great bar to have under your belt. Take us on a date here and we’d totally get our knickers off later. It’s super stylish with lots of swank. Think hard, glossy surfaces, lots of glass (it’s in the name), trendy transparent Ghost chairs by superstar designer Philippe Starck and big wow chandeliers.
Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, the crowd are the type who want to be on show to passersby, as well as the tourists who are staying at the hyped Urban Hotel. But don’t let that put you off. The cocktails are excellent, the gin selection totally rocks and, with its 5* Grand Luxe rating, we’re talking the higher breed of tourists.
This was Madrid’s first oyster bar. The kitchen also serves a selection of Japanese inspired tapas (think toro tuna tartare with Riofrío caviar or butterfish sashimi with tobikko wasabi) late at night, which is handy. There’s a Sunday buffet brunch popular with the super cool and super rich. Food is expensive, but if you’re on a liquid lunch tip, then the price is right. There’s a roof terrace too for sunny days. Sorted.
