Not only is this a perfect place to escape the busy streets of Manchester, but as soon as you’re in here it feels like you should swap your stilettos for a pair of Havaianas. From the outside this place looks like some kinda miniature Louvre, but descend the outdoor glass staircase and you’ll find yourself in a beautiful beachy hideout, with white painted brickwork and driftwood. It’s not all chilled out wood and shells in here though, they boast the coolest touch screen DJ decks BarChick has ever seen.
Sit at the beautiful ivory bar and order some cocktails - they are as perfectly made as the bar itself. The Thai Basil and Elderflower went down very quickly and was damn good, plus the Plum Wine Spritzer was equally amazing. You definitely won’t want to leave so get a table in front of the open kitchen and get ready to taste some insanely good fruits of the sea.
Order the soft shell crab with courgette flowers, the blackened cod roasted in banana leaf and hit the sashimi hard, but if you don’t like fish then the suckling pork belly rocks.
Settle down to the relaxed beats and stay late into the night, this place is a wag-tastic underground hangout. When in Rome right?
