Black tie, old-school glamour and an enormous chandelier… this place has 1941 written all over it. The Milanese cocktail culture was born in this peach, cream and green velvet lair and it’s still going strong; the Negroni Sbagliato (made with sparkling wine instead of gin) was invented right here. BarChick went for the Sidecar, which came in a long, green-stemmed glass matching the décor neatly. There are creamy cocktails like Brandy Alexanders and White Russians or good strong classics that are all made with the expertise of a talented bartender. We finished with a whisky from their first-class collection, proving that this place is far more up to date than the décor might suggest.
