Charming, Italian and old skool; back in the 50s you’d find artists and writers hanging off the bar or smoking large doses of nicotine on the terrace. You can tell it’s had it heyday but the character of this place hangs in every corner. The piano is no longer used, except for housing the salt and pepper and the mirrored back bar could do with a polish… but whatever, staff are lovely and you’re treated like part of the fam here.

You’ll be surprised by their cocktail selection, take your pick from Gimlets, Kir Royals, Kamikazis and old classics like Blue Lagoons. No cocktail has more than three ingredients, these guys have been doing it for years and the perfection is in the simplicity of it. If you’re hungry this is where you want to eat, it’s homemade and very Italian. Grab a terrace seat on a sunny day and charm the waiter if you've got piano skills to flaunt. An institution and we love it.
