O Do Borogodo

Known as the best samba club in São Paulo: bring your dancing shoes, your game face and your hottest moves.

Very small and super intimate, this light hearted venue blares out live samba music every night of the week apart from Sundays. It’s a little on the shabbier side of chic, the white and red washed walls make it look a little run down, but whatevs it’s all part of the charm.

O Do Borodogo gets seriously busy: locals, tourists & the young and old - no one is immune to the delights of this place. Prepare to be thrown about a bit by samba veterans who’ll teach you a thing or two. There’s limited seating but it doesn’t matter, this just ain’t the kinda place where you want to sit down. It’s basically beer or Caiprinha on the cards at this joint, or water once you’ve worked up a sweat (and only then), plus swingin’ and shakin’ on the dance floor.
