When Oriole first came onto the scene, we were hooked. What wasn't to love? An upmarket tiki vibe, tropical murals on the wall which'd have House of Hackney drooling, cool artefacts that make you feel you're going for a nightcap at Indiana Jones' fave watering hole. Most importantly, it's got live music at its core. Think jazz, funk, swing and blues to shake your snake hips to.

So when Oriole 2:0 opened in Covent Garden, we couldn't get our skates on fast enough. It's got everything we fell for with the first one, only this one's even sexier. Divided into two unique floors, you can stay upstairs in the bright and fresh Bamboo Bar, where the aperitif-style cocktails are like a whispered nudge towards an upcoming good time. Our advice? Have a tiki-tastic Jungle Bird, then shimmy down the shadowy stairs to your reservation below in the basement Restaurant. This is the upmarket dive-bar energy we crave. Slick booths, circular tables facing a stage, and ample opportunities to visit for live music. It's like heading back to a time of speakeasy glamour and seductive evening entertainment. 

You're here for the cocktails, and they're gonna blow you away. You're invited to drink your way around the globe... Oriole is all in, so expect original, daring and adventurous creations served up in beautiful and weird vessels. The bar staff are badass and seriously know their sh*t, so service is the best you'll find in London. The menu is also insane - a pre-theatre menu is one helluva deal, or go rogue with a la carte - and enjoy the fusion cuisine that incorporates everything from Seabass Ceviche to Pork Katsu Sando.
