First we should explain the Guy Fawkes masks. The owner Filip is a huge V for Vendetta fan, so he decorated his new bar with masks painted on the walls and a life sized figure of the character stands in the corner. Kinda creepy and pretty random, but suck it up as Bar Anonymous is a wicked new cocktail hangout in a lofty Old Town space. They've got a load of great spirits, awesome music and talented staff. Order an absinthe made traditionally with water dripped from a vintage fountain, see if they have the limited edition mead based absinthe from Czech producers the Zufanek famiy, who have been making spirits in the Czech Republic for over 10 years, or order one of their bespoke cocktails.
It's a big space, perfect for a group, or sit with a date at the bar or flirt with the hot bartenders. There’s decent music and it's the kind of place you’d expect plenty of debauchery to take place as the night progresses (with a 3am closing time on Friday and Saturday that's a guarantee). This is a place that knows how to make an excellent drink, with fancy bitters and tinctures displayed on the bar, but it still doesn't take itself too seriously, like some of Prague's other fancy cocktail bars. If owner Filip's around, ask to see his magic tricks, yes Filip, they’re completely random, but awesome. Pretty much sums up Anonymous Bar as well.
