This is the rock and roll hangout in town and it was constructed from materials salvaged from the Christchurch earthquake, hence the patch work vibe going on. There's a wall dividing the front and back room (complete with a window) to give it that confusing house within a house feel. This place is rocking most nights and filled with the kind of crowd that gets up hangover or no hangover to hit the mountain powder first thing in the morning. Gnarly! It's all about the snooker room at the back, which is where the cool kids hang so wait in line and chat up some local talent while you're at it.

The thing here is big bottles (big botts if you wanna get local) of beer, so order in and make a contribution to their crates of empty ones adding to the décor. The staff are wicked and if you’re worth the snap you can get a polaroid, forever lining the walls of Zephyr. BarChick’s up there somewhere!
