A stone’s throw from the Coliseum, BarChick was happy to find this place bustling with stylish locals as well as the occasional savvy tourist. The staff are all fun, hot and know their sh*t, and as cocktails go, we’re talking up there with Rome’s best. Propaganda is leading Rome in its cocktail movement, and it’s doing a great job of it.

It’s spacious, with really high ceilings, lots of wood, factory tiles and exposed pipe work. Go and explore – grab a table at the kitchen end to keep an eye on the chefs or make like BarChick and set yourself up at the bar. Drink their staple Sunset in Rome or be experimental and go for some with mescal in it. Feeling fruity? Then tuck into a Pineapple Tommy’s – a cocktail BarChick will be flying back to Rome for weekly. Come drinking at the weekends in winter or on week nights in the summer – that’s when the cool crowd hangs here.

They’re also famous for their food – we had the best Caesar salad in Rome (they’re so proud of it that’s what they call it on the menu) but everything looked damn fine. Enjoy.
