This place has been an east Rome institution for years. Their biggest attraction was, and still is, their size, and the fact that you can sit outside on the grassy lawn drinking away the hot summer evenings.
But recently it’s had a total overhaul and has gone from just one bar to a whole series of about seven bars, think makeshift outdoor stalls selling booze under bright lights. It makes us feel like we’re at a festival, and you know how much we like that. One outdoor bar has DJs spinning rock n roll tunes for a dancing crowd, while elsewhere there’s an open air cinema playing art house flicks.
It’s basically set up for the ADHD bar-goer (us), who wants to flit from one thing to the next, never without a drink in hand. Genius.
