Smuggler's Cove

BARCHICK SAYS

Think Pirates of the Caribbean, in a shoe box sized split level room, with a water feature and over 400 rums. Now you may start to imagine the tiki wonderland that is The Cove. Considered one of the globes most influential bars of the last decade, they really know their stuff. Get stuck into the dark tropical vibe with Havana traditionals, pre-prohibition classics, plus new school tiki libations. They keep the music low here - it’s a residential neighborhood after all - so get busy chatting up that hot bartenders, they’re the best in the biz.

True to their name, this place in tiny with only space for one Bartender and less then 50 guests at a stretch, so be don’t be surprised if you have to wait to get in. The drinks are made with love, and also take their sweet time, but you’ll be too busy ogling the nautical decor to care. Grab a seat, have some banter and enjoy the ride.

While they have other options - it’s really all about rum here. They even go so far to make their own with local St George Spirits and run a club called The Rumbustion Society with classes, tastings, and distillery trips.
