Step off Birger Jarlsgatan, Stockholm’s equivalent to the Champs de Elysée, and into Riche. This place is so ‘je ne sais quoi’ and ‘va-va-voom’ that BarChick almost forgot we were in the centre of Stockholm, sacré bleu!

This bustling restaurant and bar feels like it’s had a modern update since its original 1930s Parisian-style fit. Large sketch art fills the white walls and incandescent bulbs light a mixed crowd. From ladies who lunch to arty twenty-somethings who eat and drink at the bar, everyone is catered for here, even the trustafarian kids who dine out with Daddy have smiles on their faces.

You better like wine if you’re drinking here, coz they’ve got plenty of it (10 pages to be exact). There’s no cocktail list to speak of but if you’re really gagging for something special then the bartenders will be sure to rustle you something up, right on then.
