Finding an outdoor space to booze in that isn’t your mate’s garden doesn’t always come easy. Sure there’s a time for beer gardens with their pints and picnic tables, but when you want to kick back with Champagne cocktails, truffle fries, and crab on Guinness toast, you could be in with a problem.
What would BarChick do? Hit the Dalloway Terrace, obviously. Right in the centre of Bloomsbury, you probably wouldn't even know this terrace even existed if it weren't for the fact that anyone that visits this place can't help but slap it on their Insta. It gets top marks for its kind of Paris meets west London vibe (think Ivy Chelsea Garden sans Made In Chelsea wannabes), plants that dangle down all over and slick marble-topped tables. The service is perfection too so if you’re lunching with clients or impressing a hot date you can chill, they’ve got this. You can’t sit out on a terrace without a glass of wine so good job they’ve got a killer wine list with over 60 bottles. They even do half of them by the glass; have three and it’s called tasting.
One of our favourite bits? The floral installations change with the seasons. On any given month you might be surrounded by magical twinkling icicles, springtime buds, rustling leaves or sunshine-yellow bees doin' their thang. Right now it's rocking the burnt oranges & rich magentas of their Autumn "Dreaming in Colour" installation, in partnership with Champagne Telmont and British perfumer, Miller Harris. Seasonal Champagne cocktails are paired with the colourful afternoon tea menu of bold, floral pastries and delicate sandwiches (without crusts!). Classy flower power at its finest. Bloomsbury, who knew?
