BARCHICK SAYS

Another awesome brunch hangout? Hells yeah, and this glammed up new morning-to-night cafe has been brought to you by the guys behind The Ivy, so sit up and take note. It’s tucked away behind Selfridges on Marylebone Lane amongst old school shoemakers and when you step inside you’ll be transported to 1930s Art Deco times. Marble floors, low pendant lights, vintage leather booths and a lot of gold; London at it’s sexiest.

The crowd are as chic as you’d expect from an Ivy hangout - hot chicks with big blow dries, dapper gents and enough real fur to arouse a PETA committee meeting. Brunch here is a civilised affair; plates of poached eggs and avocado with sesame go perfectly with a Mimosa in hand. Lunch, cream tea and dinner look just as brilliantly British. Mum would be all over this.

Best seat in the house? Up at the pewter bar; you’ve gotta eat something to get the cocktails in, and we’re not complaining with bar snacks like truffle arancini and zucchini fries. If you’re into Espresso Martinis get them to whizz you up a salted caramel version - game changer. Or work your way through the small but perfectly formed cocktail list.
