Not just a bar ('cos what is these days, right?), TT Liquor is a full-blown multi-floor institution for all things cocktail. We're talking spirits, high-quality boozy serves, immersive making 'n' tasting experiences, film showcases and a killer roof terrace. They piqued our curiosity when we found out this place is run by the same lads behind Discount Suit Company and The Sun Tavern.

On the ground level, it's a liquor store with a handpicked selection of hella high-end bottles, beverages and specialist equipment. There's also the TT Cinema, a 52-seater room which hosts monthly film nights, tucked away behind the liquor store. The TT crew's passion for cocktails is matched only by their BIG thing for cult movies. They knock up a wicked menu of cocktails inspired by each film, and throw in the popcorn for good measure.

Then there's the bar. Wait for your eyes to adjust as you descend the crooked stone staircase into the cellar. It might take a while. This subterranean Dickensian warren is all dark exposed brick and dim filament bulbs. Once you can see where you're going, you'll find BarChick chilling at the back, tucked into one of the leather seated tasting booths. This place is the former Kingsland Road police station, and its hobbit-height cells lend themselves well to some clandestine rendezvous by candlelight. 

Fancy catching a bit of sun? The terrace is where it's at, with its panoramic views of East London, a wicked Spritz menu and plenty of pizza. Pro tip: it's covered and heated on chillier days, so you can kick back here even when the weather's more brrr than BST.
