Bolero Bar

Unexpected as you head away from the city center, Bolero jumps out from a sea of estate agents and curry houses. Blessed with one of those double fronted exteriors it looks like the famous Nighthawks painting. Warm lighting and a glowing bar draw you in. This place is polished and fresh, prints line the walls and retro wallpaper is placed strategically.

Bolero Bar is the place to visit if you’re looking for a slightly sturdier cocktail. Lower notes and dark spirits are specialty here, which is refreshing in a city new to the cocktail scene.  This place is popular and because of this it can become a bit of a showroom, dress up and deal with the attention, BarChick does, as should you.

The crowd here is mixed, sorta city boys, local entrepreneurs, students and yummy-mummys can all be found pouring over the (impressive) wine list. At the weekend this place gets busy, so arrive early to get a good spot or arrive late like BarChick and tear to the bar, tempered furs, spangled boots and all; we never let a little crowd get in the way of a great time.
