This underground haunt is an unlikely contender for the best bar in Worcester accolade, but somehow it is. Wobble down uneven steps into a dark den and marvel at the wonderful setting to which you’ve arrived. Exposed bricks, low ceilings and arched alcoves await you.  Don’t get too caught up in the romance of it though, there’s some serious partying to be done here.

Ball straight to the bar and get a round in (if the bartenders not too drunk to serve you) this place gets busy and this could be your last chance. Make sure you leave some coins on the pool table too, BarChick becomes a boozy Ronnie O’Sullivan after few so it’s good to plan ahead.

The live music here in the evenings is good but for BarChick it’s all about the afterhours; this place is open til 5am, hello. Make Cellar Bar the last place you visit on your night out and arrive to scenes straight out of Tortuga, Pirates of the Caribbean. A banging playlist of hits you thought you’d forgotten and seemingly endless tequila shots are a highlight. Low lights include being asked out by dudes with no teeth and seeing your old school teachers necking in the loos, but we’ll take it, warts and all.
