So we’ve been given the green light to celebrate as three households this Christmas. This calls for the ULTIMATE sharing cocktail, and when it comes to a killer Punch, we’re all about RedLeg rum. So for BarChick Advent Day 11, we’re giving you the chance to WIN an EPIC RedLeg hamper.

RedLeg is a killer combo of the best rums of the Caribbean, all left to rest in oak barrels before they’re infused with fiery ginger and vanilla. Yep this is one helluva smooth, versatile rum. And you know it slaps in a cocktail. We’ll be making a bowl (ok bowls) of this punch this Christmas.  

Hot Rum Slap (Serves 4) 

100ml RedLeg Spiced Rum 
500ml cloudy apple juice 
500ml ginger beer 
4 large cinnamon sticks 
1 lime 

Put the apple juice, ginger beer and cinnamon in a saucepan (but not the rum, you still want the alcohol, dontcha?) and heat gently for about 45 minutes, until the cinnamon has infused. Divide between 4 heatproof glasses and pour 25ml RedLeg into each. Squeeze the juice from a wedge of lime into the glass, then discard. Give it a stir then garnish with the cinnamon stick and star anise to serve.
