The Best Rosés To Drink This Summer

Rosé all day

Heatwave mode: ON. When the mercury gets soaring, we get pouring, and there isn't a drink that tastes better on a hot day than a chilled glass of rosé. These are the bottles that are keeping us company this summer.

Le Météore 2020

Ten thousand years ago, a meteorite struck a hillside in the Languedoc mountains of Southern France. Considering it was a meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs, that could have been pretty bad news for all involved, but turns out the crater in that hillside is where the vines of Domaine du Météore grow. The grapes found on those vines make for a deliciously dry and delicate organic AOP Faugères rosé, with fresh and fruity notes of pineapple, yuzu and pomelo. Totally outta this world.

Lady A Rosé

It's time for a Lady A Summer, baby. Soho House members will already be well acquainted with the member's club's house rosé and those citrusy notes balanced with gentle hits of peach and pink grapefruit. But ya don't need a membership to enjoy a bottle of this pale butterfly-motifed nectar in your own house. This classic Provence rosé is produced at Château la Coste where the producers make staying true to the area’s nature a priority. They're rocking biodynamic principles at their vineyard making sure they preserve the terroir and soil fertility for the growth of their Grenache and Cinsault grapes blended to make this cult bottle. BOOM.

Quatre Vin

You want a pale rosé? THIS is a pale rosé. We're talking so pale you might do a double-take as it's poured into your glass, pale. The crew of four (quatre) behind this delicate, bone dry rosé includes Made In Chelsea star Oliver Proudlock, and his model wife Emma-Louise Connelly, though it's a 7 generation family-run sustainable vineyard in the heart of Provence that's responsible for the production of this organically farmed, vegan wine. It's a blend of grenache, cinsault and syrah, so it's a banging accompaniment to plates of charcuterie, cheeses, oily fish & white fish and lamb, though our preference is to pair it with a hot day by the pool. Lush.

Minuty Rosé Et Or

This is it. The rosé equivalent of that St Tropez holiday we've been dreaming of for the last year. Pour a glass of this glamorous rosé and it's destination: French Riviera, mon amis. Blushing with aromas of orange peel and jasmine, the Minuty Rose Et Or is one of the flagship cuvées made with grapes from the oldest of the estate’s own coastal vineyards. You'll probably pick up white stone fruit flavours alongside a zest of pink grapefruit. Yep, definitely a luxurious holiday in a glass.
