The Wildest Booze & Food Collabs

Two words: Oreo wine

Sonny and Cher. Britney and Madonna. Barbra Streisand and Kermit the Frog. T-Swift and literally anyone. The music biz has proven that a good collab can be iconic - and the booze industry is catching on too, with everything from hard seltzer gummies to hot sauce whiskey. Take a peek at our faves...

If you spent any of your lockdown caught up in the TikTok algorithm (guilty), you know Gigi Hadid made Italy's pasta alla vodka-loving nonnas weep when her recipe for the dish went viral. So in March 2023, Absolut and Heinz channelled some Big Gigi Energy and created their own version of a tomato vodka sauce, complete with tomato, cheese and basil. Admittedly, the vodka-tomato combo isn't that wild (ever heard of a little drink called the Bloody Mary?). But seeing two powerhouse brands come together to drop a collab? Now that's saucy!

Sugarfina x Truly Hard Seltzer Gummy Bears

Ah, 2019. A year of pre-pandemic innocence, over-hyped Marvel films (don't come for us)... and the hard seltzer craze. Simpler times. Two years later, sweets company Sugarfina got in on the spiked seltzer action by teaming up with hard seltzer brand Truly to make these booze-infused gummies. The candy was, sadly, non-alcoholic, but they recommended soaking the gummy bears in Truly to get your buzz on. Now that's innovation.

Barefoot Wine Oreo Thins Red Blend

An Oreo-flavoured red wine? Yep, they really went there. The iconic American cookie brand joined forces with Barefoot wine in 2021 to develop a vino that pairs perfectly with Oreo Thins, promising notes of cookies and creme, chocolate, berries and oak. If this one fills you with intense curiosity, you're not alone - the wine sold out pretty much immediately.

Arby’s French Fry Vodka

American fast food chain Arby's is known for its roast beef sandwiches and its curly fries - so when it announced it was making a vodka flavoured like the latter, it caused quite a stir. The biz asked Minneapolis-based Tattersall Distilling Company to make this potato vodka infused with cayenne and paprika, like its fries. We're just glad they left the roast beef vodka on the cutting room floor...

George Dickel Tabasco Barrel Finish Whiskey

Got hot sauce in your bag? Why not in your booze too? Tennessee whiskey brand George Dickel brought the heat with this collab, finishing its spirit in barrels that were previously used to age the red pepper mash used in Tabasco sauce. Yup, this whiskey's got a kick to it - smoky, spicy and sweet, it was practically made for a Bloody Mary.

Jeni’s x Uncle Nearest Boozy Eggnog Ice Cream

Because nothing says "Christmas" like adding liquor to everything, ice cream brand Jeni's worked with Tennessee whiskey maker Uncle Nearest to craft this booze-infused pint for the 2022 holiday season, made with a salted egg custard, nutmeg and, of course, a healthy glug of the hard stuff. 10/10 would eat straight from the container.
