Florería Atlantico

Florería Atlantico

BarChick never can get enough of a Navy theme… hola, sailor.

The combined effort from two of Buenos Aires’ biggest names in booze, Julian Diaz and Tato Giovannoni, this place was always going to smash it. We'd say that being awarded best bar in South America in 2019 (and third-best in the world) was something to get excited about.

Florería Atlantico satisfies in both the style and substance aspect. We’re suckers for making an entrance and it seems these guys are too. Find your way in through a chic shop that sells flowers, records and vino until the early hours, nice. Once inside you’ll feel like you’re aboard a large ship looking at the Atlantic Ocean, it’s all very picturesque and mysterious.

Inspired by the immigrants who arrived in Argentina via the port in which Florería has made its home, the cocktail menu shouts out to Spain, France and England. Not that you could be anywhere but Buenos Aires - the bar is more Argentinian than Messi doing kick-ups while singing the Evita soundtrack. They've gone big on the melting-pot vibes that celebrate their culture and we're soaking it up with a smile.

We drank navy grog and Earl Grey inspired concoctions like true Brits, of course, and big up the Madame Ivonne, with Hennessy VS, Mandarine Napoleon and Chandon Extra Brut. If you get peckish be sure to hit the basement level grill, the first of its kind in this city, prepare to get steamy.
