On a street lined with orange trees under the crenulations of Castelo Jorge, Cruzes Credo serves anytime of night or day – their windows of all thngs is what took BarChick there and kept us coming back. These might be the most instagramable windows in all of Lisbon – paned in dark wood, framing cute window seats that are highlighted by the evening sun on a street lines with citrus trees; it’s like one long Kodak moment.

What makes CC extra special is the splendid team of all male staff who seem to work on an always-available shift pattern and always know what’s going on and where to go next.

It’s a good place to have on your radar when it gets to midnight and you still haven’t eaten dinner. They’ll serve a particularly excellent steak (even for non beef-eating BarChick) with mushrooms and other delicious bits. It would be remiss to order a meal that wasn’t washed down with a bottle of Muralhas vinho verde.
