Blazoned on the outside of this North London saloon bar in big letters it states 'Liquor. Rock. Pizza.' Great start.  Going for the 1950s dive bar vibe, this super cool joint brings a bit of rock n' roll to Tufnell Park. The décor is edgy, a bit gritty, the walls adorned centrefolds from Playboy, Mayfair, Hustler; chicks and tits basically - there's a nice and naughty tone to the place.

With live music on Thursdays, DJs playing until 3am on the weekends and a pub quiz on Tuesday, this place is buzzing most nights of the week. There's a great selection of cocktails, a range of American beers and, best of all, there's a 'delivery' guy based in the corner bringing thin based pizzas straight to your booth. Watch and learn Domino's.

Conveniently located right next to the tube, for when you've had one Caipirinha too many, Aces & Eights puts Tufnell Park on the BarChick map and shows you that it's not all about Camden Town for alternative and quirky places to drink. Definitely worth heading down... just remember your leather jacket, and leave mum at home.
