Scarfes Bar is a cross between a gentleman's club and a library. We're talking sexy live music, over 1000 antique books, and a v. comfy couch in front of the fireplace which is major hot property. It's cosy but lively, there's no fussy dress code or strict seating rules, and the long bar seats 16 on oversized, heavy stools. Keep it caj with one of their craft beers at the bar after work, or take a hot date, order a cocktail and check 'em out by the glow of bar-top lamps. The chat topics will never dry up here with the artwork lining the marble walls. Gerald Scarfe gave his name and his own art collection to this place, and the caricatures of iconic faces provide the endless conversation.
Drinks-wise, it's all in the details. The Scarfes Bar crew are pros at their craft and are pretty adept at advising on beers, matching wines and preparing specially-curated cocktails. The menus are always fun and creative with an intelligent link back to Scarfe's caricatures. The current menu nods to a selection of music genres, from pop to funk and classic to hip-hop. Fancy a cocktail inspired by Tupac? They've got you covered here.
