Pimped warehouse meets High Fidelity, with epic tunes and a banging cocktail list
Clapham is full of good bars and Venn Street Records is one of them (you won't miss it, look for the retro neon sign). Opened by bar connoisseur Tom, he's all about good music, good drinks and having lots of fun. It's a decent looking space: exposed brickwork and a mega record collection behind the bar. It's pretty cool. There's plenty of live music going on, or failing that some DJ or other. You can dance, sing along or just admire the hot kiwi drummer like BarChick did. Do try the pizzas, and get stuck into the cocktails, the musical theme runs through the list: A/C Daiquiri, Sour Records… you get it, they'll all keep you spinning into the early hours. It's the kind of place you'll end up downing shots at the bar with a new found friend, & definitely worth popping into when you're visiting your boring mates who had a baby and moved to Clapham. See you there for Happy Hour (5pm - 8pm, Tues - Weds)!
