This is a great place to go for wine by the glass. The fact that they offer a red, white and fizz for $5 all day really helps (and it’s never below par - they have a particularly crisp rose vino verde). Served in neck-able carafes, it’s easy to get carried away.

But despite being a wine bar in theory, they’ve got you covered whatever your poison. There are dozens of wines on the list, a collection of whisky to turn a Scotsman on and a nice list of everything else besides. It’s all top notch, too.

The food has a French leaning (moules frites, frogs’ legs and cheese boards) with some Spanish and Asian influences thrown in. Inside there’s a narrow bar and some nice window seats with a bistro vibe – maroon leather, scribbled chalk boards etc. But the patio is prettiest with multi-coloured garden furniture and twinkling lights.
