Sazerac Bar at The Roosevelt New Orleans Hotel

BARCHICK SAYS

This is another of those ridiculously iconic cocktail bars in Nola that just oozes history. Step into their Art Deco lounge, sidle up to the mega long African walnut bar and soak up the memory of all the great drinkers who came here before. Sitting beneath Paul Ninas' slightly controversial murals, you could lose all concept of time in here.

Doll yourself up and watch the eclectic mix of people who come to pay homage to what is considered the original cocktail. Obviously the Sazerac itself is a must order, but people also claim that these guys do the best Ramos Gin Fizz in town. If you’ve never had one, or even if you have, order it up and watch them slave away for a good 10 minutes on the most perfect foam you’ll ever witness. With those two massive trophies hanging out on the bar, you know these guys have got those drinks solid.
