Located in the awesome Hotel Modern (Scarlett the parrot, greets you in reception), Tivoli & Lee gets busy with locals and guests. A wall of windows floods the room with light and the reclaimed wood furniture and copper table tops give a warm vibe. They serve southern favourites (Tater Tots, Boudin, fried oysters) in shareable small plates, which you’ll need if you want to make a dent in their 50-strong bourbon list. The house cocktails from the badass Kimberly Patton-Bragg are just as good, though we like them best at breakfast. The Cereal Killer – honey smacks and bourbon-infused milk punch – will set you on track for a great day.
