Yes, it’s one of those; Acme is super picky on the door, but it’s worth trying. The owners of this restaurant-bar-club have been the lords of the downtown scene for years, and they know their sh*t (previous spots include Indochine and Bond St.), so think big.

Upstairs is the esteemed restaurant (separate entrance), but it’s downstairs where the fun really happens. The bar is a dazzling array of an extensive liquor collection set in front of a mirrored wall. There’s some serious party energy in this place. There’s room to dance with the DJ throwing down beats right amongst the crowd, and also space to chat with friends in the booths or on the leather-tufted banquets. Expect a few famous faces. The last time we went, we wound up on a table with a selection of debaucherous A-listers… nope, we won’t tell.
