Duck and cocktails? Yes please. Tucked away beneath popular Chinese restaurant RedFarm, we say skip straight downstairs into this converted Laundromat and get involved. They’ve gone all out on the duck theme with wooden ducks dotted around the small space and a Last Supper mural with ducks instead of people. It’s dark and atmospheric, and somehow it works. If you've always wanted to party in a hip farmhouse cocktail den, this is your spot.
They have some pretty crazy things happening behind the bar. When BarChick rocked up, the only thing we gave a duck about was the Decoy Clarified Milk Punch with dark rum, Oleo Saccharum, smoked star anise, clove, lemon, and Prosecco. This place has been called 'one of the sexiest restaurants in NYC', and pretty much fits the bill.
If you’re hungry and with a gang, order the Peking Duck served up family style at long communal tables, which comes with a shot of duck consume and all the trimmings. Or if you can’t handle the whole shebang, sit up at the bar and get involved with the snack menu. We’ll take the Katz Deli’s Pastrami triangles, please.
